Grace Merritt totaled 34 kills in two matches leading the DeSales University volleyball team past College of New Rochelle and Messiah College on day two of the Messiah College Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- In the opener on Saturday DeSales hit .213 and outlasted College of New Rochelle in each set for a hard fought three set win.
- The Bulldogs were able to overcome 23 hitting errors and 11 service errors in the three setter.
- In the second match DSU played some tremendous defense picking up 103 digs and totaling 10 team blocks in the win.
- DSU also limited mistakes with just seven service errors in five sets.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Merritt had 16 kills and hit .250 in the win over New Rochelle and added 18 kills and hit .368 in the win over Messiah.
- Senior Gabby Savite` had back-to-back double-doubles with 10 kills and 14 digs vs. New Rochelle and 12 kills and 26 digs in the win over Messiah.
- Junior Morghan Shoemaker finished with 13 kills vs. Messiah and totaled seven blocks in the two matches.
- Sophomore Noel Kelly added 10 kills and five blocks in the win over Messiah and sophomore Maddy Felty finished with 12 kills and seven blocks in the two matches.
- Freshman Audrey Wolfe added 36 assists vs. New Rochelle and 52 assists vs. Messiah, adding 17 digs vs. Messiah.
- Senior Natalie Gray had 11 digs vs. New Rochelle and 20 vs. Messiah leaving her just four digs shy of reaching the 2,000 dig mark in her career.
For the Foes
- Simaima FukoFuka had 10 kills and four blocks for New Rochelle.
- Mary Underman was outstanding for Messiah with nine kills and 11 blocks.
- Amanda Dahlman had 37 digs and two aces for the Falcons.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales hit .143 in the win over Messiah, while hitting .213 in the win over New Rochelle.
