Allentown, PA (September 21, 2018) - The DeSales University women's tennis team earned its first win of the season blanking Cedar Crest College, 9-0, in non-conference action on Friday afternoon.
Doubles
Junior
Amber Achenbach teamed with sophomore
Alex Rodier to earn an 8-1 win in the #1 position, while freshman
Kirsten Kosa and sophomore
Sarah Chan won 8-0 in the #2 slot and junior
Kelsey Kazlauskas paired with freshman
Bailey Greco to win 8-2 in the #3 spot.
Singles
Junior
Sarah Lightner got things started for the Bulldogs winning, 6-3, 6-0, in the No. 1 position. Achenbach was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at the #2 spot and Kosa earned her first career singles victory, 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 slot.
Rodier and freshman
Annie Rakos each won 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 4 and 5 positions and sophomore
Gabby Serratore won 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 6 slot.
The Bulldogs are right back to action tomorrow when they host PSU-Brandywine beginning at 11:00 am
