Men's Soccer Settles for 0-0 Draw with Drew; Padula Makes 13 Saves

Center Valley, PA (October 2, 2019) - The DeSales University men's soccer team settled for a scoreless draw in a non-conference matchup with old conference foe Drew University on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
  • Neither team was able to find the back of the net over the course of 110 minutes.
  • The Bulldogs best chance came on a bending shot heading for the upper 90 inside the far post early in the second half off the foot of freshman Sean Murray but the Ranger keeper made a terrific diving touch over the bar to preserve the scoreless game.
  • Drew hit the post late in the second-half and out-shot DeSales but was never able to get on the board as sophomore Jake Padula made several 1-v-1 diving saves in the win.

  • Padula made a season-high 13 saves in the win.
For the Foes
  • Jake Marlowe was equally as solid in goal making four saves for the Rangers.
