Catie McGrath scored two more goals leading the DeSales University field hockey team past Stevens Institute of Technology, 3-2, for the Bulldogs seventh straight win in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.

- Records: DeSales (10-7, 4-1 MAC Freedom); Stevens (9-7, 2-3 MAC Freedom)
- The win ties the team record for consecutive wins set during the end of the '04 season and the start of the '05 season.
How it Happened
- Stevens scored first 5:06 into the second quarter but DeSales needed just 22 seconds to even the score as freshman Tyra Wingle tapped home a pass on the ensuing re-start from junior Hannah Williams.
- The game remained tied at one into the third quarter when McGrath broke the tie at 35:23 on a shot just inside the circle giving DSU a 2-1 lead.
- McGrath added an important insurance goal with no time left on the third quarter clock pushing home a saved shot on a corner.
- The Ducks got one goal back early in the fourth quarter but senior Katarina Polyviou booted away several late chances to preserve the one goal win.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Wingle tallied her 10th and McGrath's goals were her 13th and 14th of the season.
- Polyvious was oustanding in goal making nine saves in goal.
For the Foes
- Alyssa Appleby and Allison Buffenbarger scored for the Ducks.
- Emily Franco made five saves.
Inside the Box Score
- Stevens out-shot DeSales, 19-12, for the game and had an 11-8 advantage in shots on goal.
