Center Valley, PA (October 30, 2019) - The DeSales University volleyball team rolled past King's College, 3-0, on senior night clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.

The Basics

• Final Score: DeSales - 3, King's - 0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-15)
• Records: DeSales (15-15, 5-2 MAC Freedom); King's (20-7, 3-4 MAC Freedom)
• The win eliminates King's from the postseason and gives the Bulldogs the #3 seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament next week.  DSU will travel to #2 seed, Eastern University, in the semifinals on Wednesday.
• It is DSU's 17th appearance in the MAC Freedom postseason and the 13th straight year the Bulldogs have advanced to the conference playoffs.

How it Happened

• The Bulldogs scored the first four points of the match and never really looked back from there.
• DSU trailed just twice, early in the third set, and were tied with the Monarchs just four times over three sets.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Freshman Caroline Garretson led the offense with 10 kills, hitting .412, and adding four blocks.
• Freshman Delanie Zohler and Diane Pugay each had nine kills and junior Grace Merritt finished with seven kills.
• Senior Morghan Shoemaker added five kills, hitting .556, and also had four blocks.
• Sophomore Audrey Wolfe finished with 40 assists.
• Senior Cristal Fernandez had 10 digs.

For the Foes

• Marta Pawka and Grace Frati each had six kills.
• Taylor Mueller finished with 14 digs.

Inside the Box Score

• DeSales hit .343 as a team and King's just .049.
• The Bulldogs had eight team blocks.
