Joe Neggia scored six goals leading the DeSales University men's lacrosse team past The University of Scranton, 11-8, in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon.
The Basics/Notes

- DSU has started the season for just the second time in team history and the first time since the 1999 season.
How it Happened
- After Scranton scored the first three goals of the game, DSU scored three straight to end the first quarter including two in the final minute and the last one with just one second left to take a 3-2 lead.
- It was 3-3 with 18 seconds left in the first-half when freshman Sean Wiser and Neggia each scored inside 18 seconds to give the Bulldogs a 5-3 halftime edge.
- The Royals scored the first two goals of the second-half and four of the first five to take a 7-6 lead with 8:22 left in the third quarter.
- Once again DeSales dominated the final two minutes scoring twice of the final 1:48 of the third quarter to regain a one-goal lead (8-7).
- The Bulldogs scored two more to start the fourth quarter opening up its largest (10-7) and matched the Royals the rest of the way for the win.

- Neggia finished with six goals and one assist to lead the attack.
- Sophomore Zach Bowen had two goals and freshman Tom Connors had two assists and six ground balls.
- Freshmand Sean Wiser finished with a goal and an assist.
- Senior John Ramos and junior Eric Magro each scored goals, while junior Matt Brown had an assist.
- Junior Frank Krug had two assists, picked up six ground balls, and caused six turnovers.
- Senior Matt Barry was outstanding in goal totaling 21 saves.
- Sophomore Colin Corrado finished with nine face-off wins and three ground balls.
For the Foes
- Michael Elefonte finished with five goals to lead the Royals.
- Cole Lukasiewicz, Tim Dolan, and Daniel Mallay each scored once and Connor Kirkwood finished with two assists.
- Collin Purdy won 13 face-offs and had 10 ground balls in the loss.
