Wilkes-Barre, PA (March 16, 2019) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader at King's College to open the MAC Freedom schedule on Saturday afternoon at Lipo Field.
Game One (L/4-6 vs. King's)
King's took a 4-1 lead scoring runs in each of the first three innings before DeSales tied the game at four with a three-run fifth inning.
The game remained tied into the bottom of the sixth inning when the Monarchs scored twice to take a 6-4 lead and the Bulldogs were unable to rally.

Michael White knocked in two runs.
Game Two (L/3-11 vs. King's)
After scoring two runs in the top of the second inning, the Monarchs answered with three runs and then put the game out of reach early with seven runs in the third inning to take a 10-2 lead.

Johnny Medina each had two hits in the loss.
The Bulldogs will look to salvage one game in the three-game set with the Monarchs on Tuesday when they make-up Friday night's rained out contest beginning at 4:00 pm at Weiland Park.
