Baseball Erases Early Deficit in 7-4 Win over King's

Center Valley, PA (March 19, 2019) - Freshman Will Manley tossed four scoreless innings to earn his first career save leading the DeSales University baseball team past King's College, 7-4, in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday afternoon at Weiland Park.

How It Happened
  • King's took a 3-0 lead with one run in the first inning and two in the second inning.
  • DSU tied the game with three runs in the fourth inning coming on an RBI ground out from junior Sergio Diaz, RBI double from freshman Johnny Medina, and RBI single from senior Nick White.
  • The Monarchs reclaimed the lead in the top of the fifth but DeSales responded with three more tallies in the bottom half to take the lead for good.
  • Senior Charlie Barebo had a sacrifice fly and Medina laced a two-run double to rightfield.
  • Manley did the rest pitching four scoreless innings allowing four hits.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • N. White finished 3-for-4 with an RBI, Medina finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
  • Barebo also had two hits and junior Michael White had two hits and a run scored.
  • Sophomore Cody Mish had two runs scored.
  • Freshman JJ Paul earned the win allowing three earned over five innings, striking out seven.
  • Manley had two K's in four innings pitched to earn the save.

  • M. Dobeck finished with two hits and an RBI.
  • J. Lupas took the loss allowing three earned in one inning pitched.
