Baseball Completes Three-Game Sweep of Delaware Valley with 9-2 Win

Center Valley, PA (March 25, 2019) - The DeSales University baseball team finished off a three-game series sweep of Delaware Valley University with a 9-2 win in game three on a chilly Monday afternoon at Weiland Park.

The Basics

How it Happened
  • DSU scored in each of the first three innings on a balk in the first inning, RBI single from junior Evan Plummer and a throwing error in the second inning, and an RBI single from junior Michael White in the third inning.
  • The Bulldogs then broke it open in the fifth plating four runs on another RBI single from Plummer and a two-run home run from junior Sergio Diaz.
  • The Aggies scored in the sixth and eighth innings to provide the final 9-2 tally.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Plummer finished 4-for-4 with two RBIs and M. White was 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
  • Diaz knocked in three runs and had two hits.
  • Freshman Johnny Medina finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored.
  • Sophomore Cody Mish scored twice and had three stolen bases.
  • Senior Felix Martinez Jr. earned the win pitching eight strong innings allowing one earned run, striking out four.

  • Delaware Valley got two hits each from Cody Brown, Josh Adamski, and Joey Lodato.
