Ewing, NJ (March 27, 2019) - The DeSales University softball team dropped both ends of a non-conference doubleheader at The College of New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon.
Game One (L0-6)
The Bulldogs were no-hit in the opener but draw seven walks in the loss. TCNJ scored once in the first, three times in the third and twice more in the fifth.
JuniorÂ
Shannon Hill took the loss allowing four runs over three innings.
Game Two (L/1-10)
College of New Jersey scored twice in both the second and third innings to take a 4-0 lead. DSU got one back in the fourth on an RBI double from sophomoreÂ
Reilly Kerr but the Lions put up six runs in the bottom of the fourth and DSU was unable to recover.
FreshmanÂ
Jill Harrison took the loss allowing three earned runs over two innings. Kerr finished the game 2-for-2 with an RBI and sophomoreÂ
Aubree Fritzinger had two hits.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Wilkes University for a MAC Freedom doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm.
