McCall's Goal Lifts Women's Lacrosse Past Lycoming, 16-15

Williamsport, PA (March 5, 2019) - Sophomore Eilis McCall scored unassisted with 45 seconds left lifting the DeSales University women's lacrosse team past Lycoming College, 16-15, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

How it Happened
  • After falling behind 2-0, DeSales jumped out to a 5-3 lead scoring five of the next six goals after the 2-0 deficit.
  • The Warriors tied the game at five and the two teams traded goals the rest of the first-half with the score tied at eight at the break.
  • The Bulldogs scored three of the first four goals in the second half to take an 11-9 lead before LC tied the game at 11.
  • Tied at 12, DSU scored three straight to take a 15-12 lead before Lycoming answered with three straight to the game at 15 with 3:33 to go.
  • After both teams came up empty on possessions, McCall had the ball around the back of the cage, drove right, and scored unassisted in front of the goal with 45 seconds left and DSU held on from there.
