Brunswick, ME (March 7, 2019) - The #10/15 DeSales University women's basketball team returns to action on Friday evening in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament vs. Ithaca College hosted at Bowdoin College.

The Bulldogs advanced to the Round of 16 with a 77-49 win over Shenandoah University last Friday and a 70-55 win over Middlebury College on Saturday evening.

This is DeSales' 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the second in the last three years.  DSU is 7-12 all-time in the tournament and have advanced to the Sweet 16 round twice since the brackets were expanded.

Game time on Friday evening vs. Ithaca College is 5:00 pm.  The matchup with the Bombers will be the fourth all-time with IC holding a 2-1 lead in the brief series between the two.  This will be the second career meeting in the NCAA Tournament with DeSales earning its only win over Ithaca in the 2010 tournament, 62-53.
