Center Valley, PA (April 18, 2019) - The DeSales University women's tennis team earned an important 6-3 win over FDU-Florham in MAC Freedom action on Thursday afternoon.
The win keeps DeSales in second place with a 4-1 mark in the MAC Freedom with two matches yet to play. DSU has several ways they can clinch a MAC Freedom playoff spot with the easiest being one more win in either of its final two matches. DSU can also earn a home playoff match with wins in each of its last two matches at Manhattanville College and Misericordia University.
Doubles
DSU got a 2-1 lead early winning doubles at the No. 1 and 3 positions. JuniorsÂ

Kelsey Kazlauskas won 8-4 in the No. 1 slot and seniorÂ
Sarah Chan and freshmanÂ
Annie Rakos won 8-4 in the No. 3 position.
Singles
Achenbach won by retirement in the No. 2 flight and freshmanÂ
Kirsten Kosa won easily in the No. 3 spot, 6-2, 6-0. Rakos and Chan then finished things off with Rakos winning 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 5 hole and Chan battling to a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) win in the last flight.
The Bulldogs are off this weekend and will travel to Manhattanville College on Wednesday beginning at 3:30 pm.
