Center Valley, PA (April 2, 2019) - The DeSales University softball team dropped both ends of a non-conference doubleheader to local rival Moravian College, 7-2 and 8-0, in non-conference action on a chilly Tuesday afternoonn at McGettigan Park.
Game One (L/2-7)
DeSales took a 1-0 lead in the first inning sophomoreÂ
Reilly Kerr singled home sophomoreÂ
Aubree Frtizinger who had doubled to leadoff the game.
Moravian tied the game in the top of the second inning on a DeSales error and took control in the fourth with four runs and added two more in the sixth to take a 7-1 lead.
FreshmanÂ
Heather Hall took the loss allowing three earned runs over 3 2/3 innings pitched. SophomoreÂ
Julia Testagrose had two of DSU's six hits and pitched two scoreless innings in the circle in the loss.
Game Two (L/0-8)
Moravian scored twice in the second and five times in the third to take a 7-0 lead and never looked back from there.
The Bulldogs made four errors in the game leading to five of the eight runs in the loss as Fritzinger took the loss allowing to two earned over 2 2/3 innings of work.

Caitlyn Newsom had DSU's two hits.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they host Misericordia University in a MAC Freedom doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm at McGettigan Park.
