Center Valley, PA (April 22, 2019) - The DeSales University baseball team swept both ends of a MAC Freedom doubleheader vs. Eastern University clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament on Monday afternoon at Weiland Park.
Game One (W/7-1)
DSU scored runs in all but one inning en route to a 7-1 win. The Bulldogs got two runs in the first on an RBI single from seniorÂ
Aaron Fritz and a sacrifice fly from sophomoreÂ
Sean Hanczaryk. SeniorÂ
Nick White scored on a wild pitch in the second inning and doubled home Fritz in the third. FreshmanÂ
Johnny Medina also had an RBI double in the fourth.

JJ Paul earned the win tossing five strong innings allowing just four hits and striking out five.
Fritz finished the game 3-for-4 with two RBIs, seniorÂ
Preston Amato, Medina, sophomoreÂ
Cody Mish, and freshmanÂ
Isaiah Goodman all had two hits in the game one win.
Game Two (W/7-2)
DeSales took control of game two early scoring three times in the first and second innings to take a 6-0 lead.

Charlie Barebo, and N. White all had RBI hits in the first two frames.
FreshmanÂ
Will Manley did the rest allowing just one earned run over seven innings for his first complete-game of his career.
Barebo and N. White each finished with three hits, while Hanczaryk and Amato had two hits to lead a 13-hit attack.
The Bulldogs clinch a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament for the 20th time in program history and the 10th straight year. DSU is currently tied for first place with Misericordia University but loses the tiebreaker based on MU's season series win taking two of three from the Bulldogs.
DeSales is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to local rival Moravian College beginning at 4:00 pm.
