Dallas, PA (April 27, 2019) - The DeSales University men's tennis team rolled past Misericordia University, 9-0, to earn a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs will be the #3 seed in next week's MAC Freedom postseason tournament traveling to #2 seed Manhattanville College on Tuesday at a time to be announced. It is DSU's third career playoff appearance with the last coming two years ago in 2017. It is also the first time in three trips to the postseason DSU has been seeded higher than fourth.
Doubles
DeSales lost just one game in three doubles matches as sophomoreÂ
Danny Lynn and juniorÂ
Jake McKinney won 8-1 at the No. 1 flight and seniorÂ
Austin Wesch and seniorÂ
Jorey Ferraro along with sophomore
Dominic Ferraro and freshmanÂ
Brahm Buoy each won 8-0 at the No. 2 and 3 spots.
Singles
In singles play DSU also dominated losing just three total games. Lynn was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at the No. 1 slot, J. Ferraro won 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 hole, and McKinney won, 8-0 at the No. 3 spot. Wesch won 8-1 in the No. 4 flight, freshmanÂ
Nolan Beck won his fifth straight singles match, 8-0, in the No. 5 flight, and junior
Ahmad Kanan won 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 6 slot.
