Tyra Wingle made a hugh splash in her first-ever collegiate game scoring a hat trick leading the DeSales University field hockey team past local rival Moravian College, 3-0, on Friday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Wingle scored her first career goal 18:04 into the game as she took a pass from fellow freshman Catie McGrath to give DSU a 1-0 lead.
- Wingle gave DSU a two-goal cushion just 1:41 into the third quarter, scoring unassisted knocking in the rebound of a saved shot.
- Wingle completed the hat trick 3:49 into the fourth quarter once again knocking in the rebound of a McGrath shot off the post.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Senior Katarina Polyviou was solid in goal to start the season recording a shutout making five saves. It is her program leading 12th career shutout.
- McGrath and Wingle each had a team-high six shots.
For the Foes
- Brooke Wilkinson and Ashley Kunsman combined to make 11 saves for the Greyhounds in goal.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales out-shot Moravian, 20-11, and had a 9-7 edge in penalty corners.
- The win tied the all-time series between the two teams at eight wins each as DSU has now won four straight in the all-time series. It was just DSU's second win at Moravian.
