Wilkes-Barre, PA (September 15, 2019) - The DeSales University men's tennis team opened its 2019-20 Fall schedule competing at the King's College Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.

#1 Singles
Junior Danny Lynn earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Nichole Simeone (Arcadia University) in the quarterfinals before falling to Tarquinn McGurrin (Scranton), 7-6, 6-1 in the semifinals.  Lynn then dropped his third place consolation match, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4) vs. Tyler Millan (King's).

#2 Singles
Freshman Mark Sherrill lost his quarterfinal match, 6-1, 6-1, to Jan Senkerik (Manhattanville).

#3 Singles
Freshman Will Pollick earned a 6-0, 6-1 win over Nico Touch (Misericordia) in the first round, won 6-3, 6-3 over Ethan Cooley (Susquehanna) in the quarterfinals and advanced to the championship match with a 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6) win over Drake Hanah (Arcadia). In the #3 singles title match, Pollick fell 2-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-6).

#4 Singles
Sophomore Nolan Beck won his quarterfinal match, 6-4, 6-2 over Adrian Maggiani (Scranton) but fell to Alex Fleischman (Manhattanville), 6-0, 6-2.

#5 Singles
Senior Michael Fishler earned a 6-1, retired win over Luke Thatcher (Arcadia) before falling to Nick Schlapak (Manhattanville), 6-1, 6-2 in the semifinals.  In the third place consolation match, Fishler lost 6-1, 6-3 to Jason Homschek (King's).

#6 Singles
Senior Ahmad Kanan was a 6-4, 7-6 winner over senior teammate Ben Greb, 6-4, 7-6.  Kanan then fell to Dylan Crowley (Manhattanville), 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-4) in the semifinals.

#7 Singles
Senior Juan Troncoso was a 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) winner in the quarterfinals over Max Moeller (Manhattanville) and defeated Justin Mahoney (Susquehanna), 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals.  In the #7 singles match Troncoso fell to Maguire Blake (Manhattanville), 6-0, 6-2.

#1 Doubles
Lynn and Pollick teamed up but fell in the quarterfinals, 8-5 to Falcone/LaMantia (Cabrini).

#2 Doubles
Sherrill and Beck teamed in the No. 2 flight losing in the quarterfinals, 8-4, to Paetow/Mead (Cabrini).

#3 Doubles
Sophomore Brahm Buoy and Kanan teamed in the No. 3 flight winning its quarterfinal match, 8-2, over Cooley/Sidle (Susquehanna).  The duo then lost to Fleischman/Schlapak (Manhattanville), 8-3 in the semifinals.

#4 Doubles
Freshman Ethan McCombs teamed with Troncoso to win 8-2 over Barry/Remley (Scranton) in the quarterfinals before falling to Balke/Peredo (Manhattanville), 8-7, in the semifinals.
