Center Valley, PA (September 17, 2019) - The DeSales University field hockey team dropped its third straight game, a 3-0 decision to Kean University, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening under the lights.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs had the first good look of the game as freshman Tyra Wingle saw her re-direction saved off the line by a Cougar defender early in the first quarter.
- DSU returned the favor a few minutes later when junior Suzanne Polashock had a defensive save herself to keep the game scoreless after one quarter.
- Kean took a 1-0 lead 7:11 into the second quarter when Melissa Way stole a ball inside the circle and scored on a back-handed slap as that lead stood into the half.
- Neither team scored in the third quarter and DeSales had a second ball saved off the line by a defender early in the fourth quarter.
- Leading 1-0, the Cougars got two insurance goals in a span of 2:40 to put the game out of the Bulldogs reach in the fourth quarter.

- Senior Katarina Polyviou had another strong contest in between the pipes with 11 saves.
- Polashock and junior Becky Barley each had a defensive save in the loss.
For the Foes
- Way, Rachel Mills, and Erin Donnelly had the KU goals.
- Lia Dipiazza had an assist and Donnelly and Taylor Hutchins had defensive saves.
- Belly Reynoso made one save in goal.
