Men's Soccer Falls at Ursinus, 2-1, in OT

Collegeville, PA (September 24, 2019) - The DeSales University men's soccer dropped a 2-1 decision in OT at Ursinus College in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the first-half when freshman Sean Murray scored unassisted as that advantage stood into the half.
  • Ursinus tied the game in the 58th minute and neither team was able to get on the board again sending the contest into overtime.
  • In the first OT period, the Bears had a free kick just outside the box that saw a pass to the left and a shot from about 25 yards out sneak into the upper left corner for the game-winner.

  • Murray's goal was his third of the season tying him for the team lead.
  • Sophomore Jake Padula made 12 saves in goal in the loss in his first game back from injury.
For the Foes
  • Ursinus got goals from Marco Grenda and Colin Holtzman.
  • Tyler Lewin made seven saves.
