Late Goals Spoil Men's Soccer Homecoming in 6-2 Loss to Wesley

Center Valley, PA (September 28, 2019) - Wesley College scored four goals over a seven minute span in the final 12 minutes of the game to spoil the DeSales University men's soccer team in a 6-2 loss on Homecoming Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
  • Wesley took a 2-0 lead into halftime out-shooting DeSales, 11-5, in the first-half.
  • DSU was the aggressor to start the second-half as own goal made it a 2-1 game in the 49th minute and freshman Sean Buzzee tied the score at 77:28.
  • Wesley took over from there scoring just 52 seconds after Buzzee's tying goal and scored four times in the next 8:07 to take a commanding 6-2 lead that ultimately was the final tally.

  • Junior Mark Stenske had an assist on Buzzee's goal.
  • Both sophomore Nate Hatzfeld and Jake Padula played 45 minutes in goal with each making four saves.
For the Foes
  • Justin John-Langba and Darius David-Robinson each had two goals for the Wolverines.
  • Kaiden Fields and Andrew Schnaak also scored.
