Center Valley, PA (September 7, 2019) - The DeSales University men's soccer team got a late PK but was unable to find the tying tally falling to Widener University, 2-1, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon in the 2019 season home opener.

How it Happened

• A scoreless game thru the first-half remained scoreless into the 70th minute when the Pride opened the scoring at 69:35.
• Widener added what proved to be an important insurance tally at 75:47 to make it a two goal game.
• DeSales got one goal back on a PK with 3:33 left to play but was unable to find the tying marker.

• Junior Sean Tunney scored the PK for the Bulldogs.
• Sophomore Nathan Hatzfeld made eight saves in between the pipes.

• Noah Jeffries and Andrew Hurrell each scored for the Pride.
