Center Valley, PA (January 8, 2020) - Five players scored in double digits leading the #18/20th ranked DeSales University women's basketball team past FDU-Florham, 88-44, in the MAC Freedom opener for both teams on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.

How it Happened
  • DSU scored the first six points of the game and never trailed in this one, opening up an 18-8 lead at the 1:19 mark of the first quarter.
  • Leading 30-17 at the 5:04 mark of the second quarter, the Bulldogs finished the half on a 12-2 run to take a 42-19 lead into the locker room.
  • DeSales cruised in the second-half shooting 15-for-29 from the field over the final 20 minutes.

  • Sophomore Samantha Shinkus led all scorers with 15 points and was one rebound shy (9) of a double-double.

  • Freshman Megan Bealer and junior Kristina Polak also had double figures with 10 each.
