Center Valley, PA, (November 2, 2020) – Director of Athletics 
Scott Coval would like to announce the hiring of Emily Pepe as DeSales' Women's Lacrosse head coach, the second for the program, since adding the sport at the start of the 2016-17 academic year.
Pepe joins the Bulldogs have spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach at New York Institute of Technology helping NYIT post a 45-16 record in those four years.

"DeSales University provides amazing majors that will help grow these young student athletes into leaders in the workplace as well as the community. We are looking to bring in enthusiastic, and hard working student athletes that are looking to be competitive in the classroom as well as on the athletic field."
Prior to her time with NYIT, Pepe worked as an assistant coach with the Farmingdale State College women's lacrosse team, organizing and overseeing practices, creating scouting reports, recruiting, and primarily working with the offensive unit.  Before that she played and coached with the Italian national team and was also a graduate assistant coach at Sacred Heart University.

"Emily was an accomplished NCAA D1 athlete at Sacred Heart and has enjoyed considerable success as an assistant coach at both the NCAA D2 and D3 levels.  Under Emily's leadership, we are confident our women's lacrosse team will continue to succeed both on the field and in the classroom.  We are extremely excited about the future of our women's lacrosse program."
Pepe had an outstanding three-year career at Sacred Heart University ranking seventh all-time in Pioneers history with 165 points.  She tallied the second most assists (88) in program history, including a single-season record of 43 in 2012.  Pepe was named Northeast Conference First-Team twice.  Prior to SHU, Pepe spent one season at Jacksonville University where she tallied 11 goals and nine assists as a freshman.
 
A native of East Quogue, NY, Pepe earned a Bachelor of Arts in media studies in 2013 and later earned her Master's in sports communication and media in 2015 from Sacred Heart University.
