Northborough, MA (July 22, 2026) - Five DeSales University women's lacrosse student-athletes and the women's lacrosse team were honored on Wednesday afternoon being named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll and an IWLCA Honor Squad as announced by the organization.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher thru the 2026 season. To qualify for the team honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
Among the eight individuals that earned the honor were: juniorÂ
Anna Edwards, seniorÂ
Maggie Evans, seniorÂ
Bridey Lawler, seniorÂ
Hailey Linebaugh, and seniorÂ
Danielle Sieja.  As a team the Bulldogs posted a 3.35 GPA for the 2025-26 academic year to qualify for the award.
Edwards is a nursing major with a 3.50 cumulative GPA. She appeared in two games for the Bulldogs in 2026, totaling two caused turnovers.
Evans, a double major in psychology and communications, has a 3.62 cumulative GPA. She started all 19 games on defense for DeSales and had nine caused turnovers and seven ground balls.
Lawler is a pharmaceutical marketing major with a 3.62 cumulative GPA. She started all 19 games for DeSales ranking fourth on the team in scoring with 60 goals and nine assists for 69 points.
Linebaugh, a nursing major, has a 3.78 cumulative GPA. She started all 19 games for the Bulldogs leading the team with 44 assists and ranking fifth on the team in scoring with 14 goals and 44 assists for 58 points.
Sieja is a biology major with a 3.67 cumulative GPA. She earned All-MAC Freedom Second-Team honors this past season. Sieja finished the year with 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points. Sieja added 36 ground balls, 17 draw controls, and was second on the team with 31 caused turnovers.
