Amanda Schultz made her Bulldog debut scoring five goals leading the DeSales University women's lacrosse team past Alvernia University, 18-15, in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Alvernia broke a tie at three early with four straight goals to take a 7-3 lead but the Bulldogs climbed all the way scoring five of the next six and six of the last eight goals to tie the game at nine at the half.
- The Bulldogs scored three of the first four goals to open the second-half with a 12-10 lead but the Golden Wolves tallied three straight to take a 13-12 lead.
- Sophomore Azlin Myers and Schultz answered with back-to-back goals giving DSU a 14-13 edge before AU tied the game at 14 with 5:55 left.
- DSU needed just 11 seconds to reclaim the lead as Schultz scored her fourth of the game starting a streak of four straight goals that gave DeSales an 18-14 lead with 4:13 to go and the Bulldogs never looked back from there.

- Schultz tallied five goals and added an assist for six points.
- Myers (3g, 1a) and junior Julia Astram (2g, 2a) each had four points and combined for nine draw controls.
- Freshman Tori Brennan finished with three goals and four draw controls and sophomore Eilis McCall had three points with two goals and one helper.
- Freshman Kelsey Pogonyi had one goal and one assist in her debut, freshman Marina Bradley and junior Kayla Kearns each had one goal.
- Junior Rachel Sheubrooks finished with 15 saves in goal.
For the Foes
- Erika Whitmoyer totaled five goals and five assists for 10 points.
- Bridget Reynolds had three goals and six draw controls and Alyson Keene totaled two goals and one assist for five draw controls.
