Salisbury, MD (February 23, 2020) - The DeSales University softball team split another doubleheader on Sunday blanking Hood College before falling to host Salisbury University in the second game of the day.
Game One (W/2-0 vs. Hood)
SeniorÂ
Shannon Hill turned in a dominant outing allowing just three hits, while striking out seven in a 2-0 complete-game shutout win.
DSU got both its runs in the first inning on RBI singles from juniorÂ
Hallie Muffley and seniorÂ
Alexa Marasheski.
DeSales totaled five hits in the win over Hood.
Game Two (L/0-7 vs. Salisbury)
The Bulldogs suffered one bad inning vs. the Seagulls surrendering seven runs in the top of the third to fall victim in game two on the day.
DSU had just three hits, two from Marasheski in the loss.
SophomoreÂ
Heather Hall took the loss allowing seven runs over 2 2/3 innings.
The Bulldogs are back in action Wednesday, March 4th when they host The College of New Jersey at McGettigan Park for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 2:30 pm.
