Clermont, FL (March 10, 2020) - The DeSales University softball team saw its four game winning streak come to an end dropping two games on day three of its spring trip to Florida.
Game One (L/3-5 vs. Case Western Reserve)
CWRU scored once in the first and third and added three more runs in the fourth to take a 5-0 lead.
DSU rallied in the top of the seventh scoring three times on an RBI double by juniorÂ
Reilly Kerr and RBI singles by freshmanÂ
Olivia Ondrejca and juniorÂ
Caitlyn Newsom but were unable to complete the comeback in the first game of the day.
SeniorÂ
Shannon Hill took the loss allowing five runs over three innings of work.
Game Two (L/0-8 vs. Heidelberg)
Heidelberg led 2-0 thru three innings when it scored three times in the fourth, twice in the fifth, and once in the sixth to break the game open.
DSU's lone hit came on a single to start the sixth inning from seniorÂ
Erin Redden.
JuniorÂ
Julia Testagrose took the loss allowing five runs over four innings, striking out two.
The Bulldogs are off tomorrow and will return to action on Thursday when they take on Ursinus College and Wittenberg University.
