Women's Soccer Falls at Misericordia, 10-2

Dallas, PA (October 26, 2021) - The DeSales University women's soccer team dropped a 10-2 decision at Misericordia University in MAC Freedom action on a cold and rainy Tuesday evening.

The Basics
  • Final Score: Misericordia - 10, DeSales - 2
  • Records: DeSales (12-4, 5-2 MAC Freedom); Misericordia (15-1, 7-0 MAC Freedom)
  • DSU stays in second place in the MAC Freedom standings heading into tomorrow's slate of games.  The Bulldogs will now need a win on Saturday vs. Wilkes and Stevens to either lose or tie one of their remaining two games to earn the #2 seed and a semifinal home game.
How it Happened
  • Misericordia was the agressor in this one scoring eight times in the first-half to take an 8-0 lead into the break.
  • Down 9-0, DSU got on the board on a PK from junior Tess Rodgers and added a second goal later in the half from junior Allie Trick.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Trick's goal was her team leading 12th of the season, while Rodgers netted her first of the year.
  • Sophomore Hannah Pacheco made four saves in goal.
For the Foes
  • Emma Sweitzer had three goals and two assists.
  • Julia Beck finished with two goals and two assists.
