Center Valley, PA (October 5, 2021) - The DeSales University field hockey team fell to Widener University, 2-1, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

How it Happened

• The Bulldogs had several chances in the first quarter to take an early lead including one shot that glanced off the post.
• After a scoreless first quarter, Widener got on the board midway thru the second quarter.
• The Pride got a third goal 11 minutes into the third quarter to take a 2-0 lead.
• DSU made it a one goal game 2:16 into the fourth quarter but Widener regained a two-goal lead at 49:53 to provide the final margin.

• Junior Tyra Wingle scored her 10th goal of the season and junior Grace DeThomas added an assist.
• Sophomore Kayla Yeatman made seven saves in goal.
