Balanced Attack Keeps Men's Basketball Unbeaten in 75-60 Win over Rosemont

Center Valley, PA (November 10, 2021) - Four players scored in double digits leading the DeSales University men's basketball team past Rosemont College, 75-60, to start the season 2-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.

How it Happened
  • Rosemont got off to a quick start in this one using a 10-3 run early to take a 16-10 lead at the 11:49 mark.
  • DeSales took control from there using a 19-0 run over the span of five minutes to claim a 29-16 lead with 6:32 to go in the first-half.
  • Junior Will Bowen was a spark off the bench during the run scoring six points and handing out two assists as DSU took a 40-26 into the halftime locker room.
  • The lead swelled to 18 points on back-to-back 3's around a Raven bucket from senior Matt Kachelries and junior Jordan Holmqvist and never dropped below double digits in the second-half, peaking at 19 points several times.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Holmqvist led the way for the second straight game with 14 points, hitting four 3's.
  • Senior Dat Lambert had 12 points and three steals.
  • Sophomore Elijah Eberly and sophomore Ryan Boylan each added 10 points and Eberly led the team with seven boards.
  • Kachleries handed out a season and game-high nine assists, while sophomore Mason Barnes had seven points and five assists off the pine.
For the Foes
  • Marlon Sharpton finished with 12 points and Zaire Mitchell totaled 10 points.
Inside the Box Score
  • DeSales dominated the glass, out-rebounding Rosemont, 42-22.
  • The Bulldogs handed out 24 assists on 28 made baskets.
