Amelia Saunders scored a game-high 17 points leading the DeSales University women's basketball team to a season sweep of Wilkes University, 68-44, on Friday evening in MAC Freedom action in Billera Hall.

- The Bulldogs have now won 48 straight in the all-time series with the Colonels.

How it Happened
- DeSales never trailed in this one as a free throw from junior Rylie Rittenhouse eight seconds into the game gave the hosts a lead they would never relinquish.
- DSU led 17-10 after one quarter and dominated the second quarter out-scoring WIlkes 18-7 to take a commanding 35-17 lead into the locker room.
- The lead swelled to as many as 29 points late in the third quarter (53-24) befor the final tally was set.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Saunders finished with a game-high tying 17 shooting 6-for-7 from the field and added five rebounds.
- Junior Averi Jordan had 12 points and also pulled down five boards in just 18 minutes of action.
- Freshman Lindsey Welsh finished with nine points and senior Isabel Caruso had five steals and two blocks on the defensive end.
For the Foes
- Maddie Kelley led Wilkes with a game-high tying 17 and pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.
Inside the Box Score
- The Bulldogs held Wilkes to just 28.3 percent shooting and forced 25 turnovers leading to 27 points.
- DeSales bench out-scored the Colonels, 32-9, for the game.
- DSU hit 48.1 percent from the field for the game and had just 13 turnovers.
