Center Valley, PA (February 20, 2021) - Ten different players scored and six reached double digits as the DeSales University men's basketball team shot 75.4 percent as a team breaking the team record for field goal percentage in a game completeing the sweep of FDU-Florham on Saturday afternoon, 104-54, in MAC Freedom action.

- DSU shot 46-61 from the field (75.4%) breaking the old record of 67.2 percent accomplished twice back in 2005 and 2018.
- The win is also head coach Scott Coval's 498th as he sits just two shy of earning his 500th career win.
- DeSales has now opened the season with four straight wins by an average of 38.5 points per game.
- It was DSU's ninth straight win over the Devils.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs once again enjoyed a quick start scoring the first nine points of the game and opening up a 15-4 lead after back-to-back 3's from sophomore Aidan Ellwood and freshman Ryan Boylan.
- The lead hovered around that for a few minutes and was 10 at the 9:58 mark before an 8-0 run capped off by a lay-up from junior Keba Mitchell made it 36-18 and the Bulldogs cruised into the locker room leading 46-28.
- The second-half was an offensive clinic as DSU could do no wrong shooting 83.9 percent (26-for-31) from the field and scoring 58 points to finish the game strong.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Six players reached double digits led by senior Timmy Edwards with 18 points on 8-for-11 from the field.
- Ellwood finished with a season-high 16 and added four assists.
- Sophomore Darnell Vaughan Jr. had a career-high 15 points and freshman Ryan Boylan added 14 tallies.
- Freshman Elijah Eberly finished with 11 points and nine boards off the bench and fellow freshman Christian Guldin had 10.
- Mitchell was also a force, especially guarding the rim, finishing with a game-high four blocks.
For the Foes
- Oliver Ortman and Matthew Johnson each had 18 points as the lone double digit scorers for the Devils.
Inside the Box Score
- In addition to the record breaking shooting performance, the Bulldogs handed out 27 assists and commited just four turnovers in the game.
- DeSales scored 68 of its 104 points in the paint and its bench out-scored FDU's, 47-7.
- The Bulldogs were also hot from deep, hitting 9-for-15 from outside the arc.
