Matt Motto scored a career-high nine points (5g, 4a) leading the DeSales University men's lacrosse team past Arcadia University, 14-12, in a MAC Freedom game on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Arcadia started quickly in this one scoring four of the first five goals to take a 4-1 lead.
- DSU finished the first quarter scoring two goals in the span of eight seconds to get within a goal (4-3).
- The Knights got those two goals back to start the second quarter to regain a three-goal lead and continued to lead 7-4 with 9:07 left in the half.
- The Bulldogs countered scoring four straight goals to take their first lead of the game (8-7) with 51 seconds left but AU scored with 0.5 seconds left in the half tying the game at eight at the break.
- DeSales dominated the third quarter scoring three straight goals to open the quarter and finishing with two goals in the last minute to take a 13-9 lead.
- The Knights refused to quit scoring twice to get within two with 7:26 to go, but a man-up goal from freshman Pat Schuett closed the door on the comeback.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Motto's nine points are tied for the fifth most in a game in team history.
- Senior Zach Bowen added four goals and junior Tom Connors had a goal and three assists for four points.
- Sophomore Zach Broomall had two goals off the bench and sophomore Beau Neff also scored.
- Senior Colin Corrado won 13-of-21 face-offs, added an assist, and had nine ground balls.
- Freshman Quentin Lyons made 15 saves in net.
For the Foes
- Brian Albertsen led the Knights scoring four goals and one assist for five points.
- Timmy Fyock was outstanding in goal making 17 saves, many of which were spectacular.
- Brady Manion had three goals.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales out-shot Arcadia, 48-39, and had a 36-23 advantage in ground balls.
