Men's Lacrosse Rolls Past Lycoming, 19-9; Opens Season 4-0

Williamsports, PA (March 24, 2021) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team scoring eight first quarter goals en route to a 19-9 win at Lycoming College to open the season with four straight wins for the second time in the last three years on Wednesday evening.

  • The Bulldogs are 4-0 for the second time in the last three years after also starting 4-0 in 2019 when they eventually won the first 15 games that season.
How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs scored the first three goals of the game and finished the first quarter with four straight goals to take an 8-2 first quarter lead.
  • The Warriors scored twice to start the second quarter but DSU finished the half with four straight tallies and the first tallies of the third quarter to take a commanding 14-4 lead and never looked back from there.

  • Senior Zach Bowen had four goals and two assists for six points and junior Sean Wiser had four goals and one assist to lead DeSales.
  • Junior Kai Taylor had two goals and three assists and senior Matt Motto had three goals and one assist.
  • Freshman Pat Schuett had a goal and two assists, sophomore Domenic Maria totaled two goals, and sophomore Beau Neff, senior Colin Corrado, and freshman Chase Bowman all scored once.
  • Corrado won 21-of-26 face-off attempts and picked up nine ground balls.
  • Freshman Quinten Lyons made six saves in goal.

  • Owen Zimmerman had two goals and Dominick Massaro added three goals to lead the Warriors.
