Softball Splits DH at King's; Hall Earned CG Win in Game One

Wilkes-Barre, PA (March 20, 2021) - Junior Heather Hall pitched complete-game allowing just one unearned run to earn her second win of the season leading the DeSales University softball team to a DH split at King's College in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

Game One
Hall stranded 10 Monarch runners on-base in game one allowing nine hits and just one unearned run, striking out three.

DSU scored once in the third, fourth, and fifth innings to take a 3-0 lead.  Senior Hallie Muffleysophomore Victoria Agnoli, and freshman Alexys Vernier all had RBI singles in the win.

Senior Kristen Suran and Muffley had two hits and A. Vernier finished with three hits in game one.

Game Two
A scoreless game into the bottom of the third inning saw the Monarchs score three times in both the third and fourth innings to take a 6-0 lead before closing it out with two in the bottom of the sixth.

DSU had just two hits including a double from freshman Amelia Howard.  The Bulldogs had a chance to take an early lead putting runners on second and third with no one out in the third but came up empty and King's capitalized.

Up Next
These two teams are back in action tomorrow when the Monarchs travel up to McGettigan Park for games three and four of the weekend series.
