Center Valley, PA (March 23, 2021) - Senior Eilis McCall scored three goals and added three assists leading the DeSales University women's lacrosse team past Wilkes University, 16-6, in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday afternoon.

• Records: DeSales (2-2; 2-0 MAC Freedom); Wilkes (0-3, 0-2 MAC Freedom)
• It was DSU's first home game since the ECAC Tournament, May 8th, 2019.

How it Happened

• DeSales started strong and never really looked back in this one.
• DSU scored the first five goals of the game and a goal from junior Amanda Schultz with just eight seconds left in the first-half gave the hosts a 9-2 lead.
• Wilkes cut into the halftime deficit with two early goals to trail by just six (10-4) but the Bulldogs scored four of the next five goals to go up nine and never looked back from there.

Top Bulldog Performers

• It is the second straight game with three goals for McCall.
• Sophomore Dani Towey scored four times and sophomore Marina Bradley added three goals and an assist.
• Schultz also finished with four points (2g, 2a) and sophomore Tori Brennan had two goals.
• Sophomore Kelsey Pogonyi had a goal and an assist and senior Sydney MacDonough tallied two helpers.
• Bradley and senior Karlie Deeck each won three draw controls.
• Sophomore MacKenzie Schroeder caused three turnovers and had three ground balls.
• Senior Rachel Sheubrooks made nine saves in between the pipes.

For the Foes

• Domenica Lerch and Camryn Devitt each had two goals in the loss.
• Ashley Burkhardt added two assists.
• Ashley Coughlin made 11 saves in goal.

• DeSales out-shot Wilkes, 33-23, while each team had 21 ground balls.
• DSU had a slim 10-8 advantage in draw controls.
• The Bulldogs were terrific on the clear going 19-for-22.
