Women's Lacrosse Second Straight Win, 16-6, over Wilkes

Center Valley, PA (March 23, 2021) - Senior Eilis McCall scored three goals and added three assists leading the DeSales University women's lacrosse team past Wilkes University, 16-6, in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday afternoon.

  • It was DSU's first home game since the ECAC Tournament, May 8th, 2019.
How it Happened
  • DeSales started strong and never really looked back in this one.
  • DSU scored the first five goals of the game and a goal from junior Amanda Schultz with just eight seconds left in the first-half gave the hosts a 9-2 lead.
  • Wilkes cut into the halftime deficit with two early goals to trail by just six (10-4) but the Bulldogs scored four of the next five goals to go up nine and never looked back from there.

  • Domenica Lerch and Camryn Devitt each had two goals in the loss.
  • Ashley Burkhardt added two assists.
  • Ashley Coughlin made 11 saves in goal.
