Mikaela Reese (Rookie of the Year), and head coach
Fred Richter (Coach of the Year) highlighted four DeSales University women's basketball players named to the All-MAC Freedom team as announced by the conference office and as voted on by the MAC Freedom coaches.
Jordan joined fellow junior
Rylie Rittenhouse on the All-MAC Freedom First-Team, while senior
Isabel Caruso and Reese were named to the Second-Team.
Jordan becomes the fifth player in team history to earn MAC Freedom Player of the Year honors and is named to the All-Conference team for the third straight year and the second straight year on the First-Team. She finished the season averaging 15.9 points per game (2nd in the MAC Freedom) and 5.0 rebounds per game. Jordan shot a career-high 51.9 percent from the field (3rd in the MAC Freedom) and led the MAC Freedom shooting 53.8 percent from outside the arc.
Rittenhouse makes her second straight appearance on the All-Conference team after earning Honorable-Mention honors one season ago. She finished the year ranked eight in the MAC Freedom in scoring at 10.9 points per game and led the MAC Freedom shooting 52.8 percent from the field. Rittenhouse was also eighth in the MAC Freedom at 1.9 steals per game.
Caruso earns All-Conference honors for the first time in her career after averaging a career-high 8.3 points per game. She led the MAC Freedom and 10th in the country in steals per game (4.1 SPG) and was 12th in assists per game (2.0 APG).
Reese becomes the seventh player in team history to earn MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year honors. She ranked 10th in the MAC Freedom in scoring (10.2 PPG), 11th in rebounding (6.3 RPG), fifth in field goal percentage (44.3%), and fourth in blocked shots per game (1.4 BPG).
Richter finishes up the honorees earning Coach of the Year honors for the fourth time in the MAC Freedom. He guided DSU to its first-ever undefeated season (9-0) and to its ninth MAC Freedom Championship. DSU set numerous team records and was ranked among the national leaders in several statistical categories ranking third in field goal percentage, second in both scoring defense and scoring margin, second in turnover margin, seventh in turnovers forced, 11th in scoring offense, and 10th in field goal percentage defense.
