Men's Lacrosse Drops Second Straight Falling 13-5 at Eastern

St. David's, PA (March 31, 2021) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team fell behind early and were unable to recover dropping its second straight game falling at Eastern University, 13-5, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
  • Eastern jumped out on top early scoring the game's first three goals and eight of the first nine to take an 8-1 lead at the half.
  • The Bulldogs showed some life to start the third quarter scoring three of the first second-half goals to pull within 9-4 and conitnued to trail by five (10-5) early in the fourth quarter before the Eagles put the game away with the last three goals of the game.

  • Senior Zach Bowen led the offensive attack with two goals and one helper.
  • Freshman Pat Schuett added two goals and junior Kai Taylor scored once.
  • Senior Matt Motto and sophomore Domenic Maria each had an assist.
  • Senior Colin Corrado was outstanding in the face-off circle winning 8-of-10 and picking up seven ground balls.
  • Freshman Quinten Lyons had nine saves in goal.
For the Foes
  • Kyle Fanelli led Eastern with two goals and four assists for six points.
  • Avery Porter finished with four goals and Connor Killion had two markers.
  • Kyle Mulrane (1g, 2a) and David Thomas (2g, 1a) each had three points.
  • Kyran Baker had four caused turnovers and seven ground balls.
  • Chris Durning had five caused turnovers and eight ground balls.
  • Ethan Myers made 13 saves in goal.

  • Despite the outcome the stats were dead even with team taking 31 shots and each team picking up 38 ground balls.
