Keba Mitchell recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and added seven blocks leading the DeSales University men's basketball team to a 7-0 start with an 89-63 win over Eastern University in non-conference action on Thursday evening in Billera Hall.

- The win keeps DSU unbeaten on the season and sees the Bulldogs record its fifth win by 25+ points this season.
How it Happened
- After each team scoring to start the game, DeSales used a 14-2 run over the next four minutes to take a 16-4 lead just 4:40 into the game with Mitchell scoring five points and blocking two shots.
- The lead was eight at the 7:33 mark before the Bulldogs took control for good using a 12-2 run over the next five minutes to take a 40-22 lead as five different players scoring during the spurt and DeSales ran into the locker room with a 47-27 lead.
- Eastern got within 16 once in the second-half but never any closer with the lead peaking at 26 three times including the final tally.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Mitchell was just three blocks shy of the school's second-ever triple double.
- Senior Timmy Edwards finished with a game-high 16 points and pulled down eight boards.
- Junior Dat Lambert came off the bench to pour in 13 points and freshman Elijah Eberly finished with 12 tallies and nine rebounds.
- Sophomore Jordan Holmqvist had 10 points also off the bench and fellow sophomore Aidan Ellwood finished with nine points.
- Freshman Mason Barnes had six assists.
For the Foes
- Kaeshawn Ward finished with a team-high 15 points and handed out four assists.
- Sam Gallardo totaled 13 points.
Inside the Box Score
- The Bulldogs once again shot well from the field hitting 53.7 percent for the game and 40.9 percent from outside the arc.
- DSU dominated the glass out-rebounding EU, 44-27, and scored 21 second chance points.
- Eastern was just 3-for-10 from the charity stripe.
