Amanda Schultz scored a team-high five goals but the DeSales University men's lacrosse team dropped its 2021 season opener, 13-9, at Albright College in non-conference action on a chilly Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- DeSales stormed out of the gates opening up a 3-0 lead in the first 2:36 of the game before Albright battled back to tie it at four midway thru the first-half.
- The Bulldogs had a one goal lead late in the half after a tally from senior Karlie Deeck, but a Lion goal with just four seconds left saw the game tied at six into the halftime break.
- The two teams traded goals to start the half before AC broke a tie at eight with five straight goals to take a 13-8 lead with 3:30 left and the Bulldogs were unable to overcome the deficit.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Schultz led the Bulldogs with a team-high five goals.
- Deeck added two goals and an assist for three points and sophomore Marina Bradley added a goal and three assists.
- Freshman Hayley Petrosini finished with one goal, one assist, and a team-high six draw controls.
- Sophomore MacKenzie Schroeder led the way with five ground balls.
- Senior Rachel Sheubrooks was outstanding in goal making 20 saves breaking the individual record for saves in a game.
For the Foes
- Lauren China and Maddie Taylor each had four goals to lead the Lions.
- Abbie Moist and Taylor Filmer each added a goal and two assists and Filmer had seven ground balls.
