Reilly Kerr became the 25th player in team history to record 100 career hits but the DeSales University softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Stevens Institute of Technology, 3-0 and 5-1, on Wednesday afternoon.
Game One (L/0-3)
DeSales had just three hits in opener and the Ducks scored twice in the third and once in the fourth to record the win in game one.
Junior
Kelsey Miller pitched well despite the loss allowing seven hits and three runs over seven innings.
Game Two (L/1-5)
Stevens took a 2-0 lead in the third inning but the Bulldogs got one run back in the fourth when freshman
Samantha Perez walked and scored a few batters later on a wild pitch.
The Ducks got three insurance runs in the sixth inning on a three-run home run and the Bulldogs were unable to mount a rally.
Kerr recorded her 100th career hit in the bottom of the sixth inning, a single to centerfield.
Junior
Heather Hall went the distance allowing seven hits and five runs, striking out five.
