Madison, NJ (April 18, 2021) - The DeSales University softball team used a six-run sixth in game one to earn a doubleheader splt at FDU-Florham in MAC Freedom action on Sunday afternoon.
Game One (W/6-3)
Trailing 2-0 into the sixth inning, the Bulldogs exploded for six runs on seven hits to take a 6-2 lead and ultimately a 6-3 win in game one.
JuniorÂ
Heather Hall earned her seventh win of the season pitching a complete-game allowing nine hits and three runs, striking out four.
FreshmanÂ
Rebecca Kibler and seniorÂ
Reilly Kerr each had two hits in the win. SeniorÂ
Hallie Muffley, sophomoreÂ
Olivia Ondrejca, seniorÂ
Kristen Suran, sophomoreÂ
Julianna Garvey, Kibler, and sophomoreÂ
Lily Trexler all had RBIs in the six-run sixth.
Game Two (L/4-5)
DSU was playing catch up all afternoon in this one. The Bulldogs tied the game at one in the fourth on RBI single from sophomoreÂ
Chloe Pauls, tied it at three in the fifth on a two-RBI double from Kerr, but fell one run short in its seventh inning comeback as Kerr was stranded on second after her second RBI double of the afternoon with two outs.
Freshman
Kelsey Miller took the loss in relief allowing two runs over 2 2/3 innings pitched.
Kerr had two doubles and three RBIs and Trexler finished with two hits and two runs scored.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Delaware Valley University for another MAC Freedom doubleheader beginning at 3:00 pm.
