Hoboken, NJ (April 25, 2021) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped both ends of a MAC Freedom doubleheader on Sunday afternoon falling to Stevens Institute of Technology, 7-5 and 11-4.
Game One (L/5-7)
After falling behind 4-0 in the first inning of game one, DSU rallied with five runs in the fourth inning, including a three-run home run from seniorÂ
Hunter Spalt to take a 5-4 lead.
The Ducks had the answer in the fifth however scoring three times to take a 7-5 lead and DSU left the bases loaded in the top of the seventh to drop game one.

Thomas Carpenter and juniorÂ
Billy Scanlon each had two hits in the loss. SeniorÂ
Ian Kacergis took the loss allowing seven runs over 4 2/3 innings pitched, striking out two.
Game Two (L/4-11)
Stevens scored five times in the second inning and after DSU got three back in the top of the third, answered with three of its own in the bottom half of the third and the Bulldogs were just unable to keep pace at the plate.
The Bulldogs had just five hits in the second game. FreshmanÂ
Jared Drake took the loss allowing seven earned over 1 2/3 innings of relief.

DSU is scheduled to wrap-up its regular season with a road game at King's College on Wednesday evening beginning at 4:00 pm.
