Center Valley, PA (April 27, 2021) - The DeSales University men's tennis team wasted no time returning to the win column following its first loss last time out with a 5-4 win over Messiah College in a non-conference match on Tuesday afternoon.
Doubles
DSU took a 2-1 lead early winning at the No. 2 and 3 doubles. FreshmanÂ
Augie Citrone and sophomoreÂ
Mark Sherrill earned an 8-1 win at the No. 2 spot and sophomoreÂ
Will Pollick teamed with juniorÂ
Brahm Buoy to win 8-0 at the No. 3 spot.
Singles
DSU lost the #1 and #3 singles matches very narrow margins in third set pro set tiebreaks but were able to get the three points from the #4, 5, and 6 singles matches to take the win.
Buoy won at the No. 4 spot, 6-1, 6-0, juniorÂ
Nolan Beck earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at the No. 5 spot, and Pollick was a double winner with a 6-3, 6-3 win at the No. 6 singles slot.
