Center Valley, PA (April 28, 2021) - The DeSales University women's tennis team snapped its two match losing skid with a 9-0 win over Lycoming College in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.
Doubles
DSU took a 3-0 lead after doubles as the Warriors had just five players in uniform in this one forcing a win by default at the No. 3 flight. JuniorÂ
Kirsten Kosa and juniorÂ
Annie Rakos teamed to win 8-2 at the No. 1 position and seniorÂ
Sabrina RIcciardi played with senior teammateÂ
Alex Rodier to win 8-5 at the No. 2 spot.
Singles
Kosa won the first set 6-1 and was leading 1-0 in the second before her opponent had to retire at the No. position and Rakos was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at the No. 2 flight. JuniorÂ
Bailey Greco earned a hard fought 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-2) win in the No. 3 spot, while Rodier (6-1, 6-1) and Ricciardi (6-1, 6-2) earned wins at the No. 4 and 5 positions.
