John Poccia and sophomore
Ryan Rieber each had complete-game efforts leading the DeSales University baseball team to a DH sweep of Delaware Valley University by scores of 10-2 and 11-1 in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.
Game One (W/10-2)
The Bulldogs, winners of nine straight now, took a 2-0 lead in game one on RBIs from junior
Trevor Leamer and sophomore
Colin Trembley. The lead was 3-0 entering the bottom of the fifth inning when DSU broke it open with senior
Sergio Diaz hit a 1-0 pitch over the right centerfield fence for a grand slam and his fifth RBI of the game handing DSU a 9-0 lead.
The Aggies broke up Poccia's shutout with three singles and a walk in the top of the sixth inning plating two runs, but he settled down to get out of the jame and tossed a scoreless seventh to earn his first win and complete-game of the year. Poccia struck out eight in the win.
Diaz finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and five RBIs, junior
Billy Scanlon was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and senior
Hunter Spalt had three hits, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Junior
Robert Lamm and junior
Joe Grigas IV also had two hits.
Game Two (W/11-1)
This time it was Rieber's turn as he tossed a nine inning CG allowing just six hits and striking out 10 without issuing a walk to earn his second win of the year. He surrendered a first inning run but was lights out the rest of the way. He pitched to the minimum in the second and third innings and tossed 1-2-3 innings in the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and ninth innings.
DeSales tied the game in the third on an Aggie error, got back-to-back home runs from sophomore
Justus Darville and Trembley in the fourth inning to take a 4-1 lead, and led 6-0 after seven innings after two more tallies in the bottom of the seventh.
The Bulldogs broke it open in the eighth with five runs, four unearned, on three hits and three Delaware Valley errors.
Darville finished with three runs scored and two RBIs and Trembley finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

DSU will look to extend its win streak to 11 games on Monday when they travel to Delaware Valley for games three and four of the weekend series with first pitch set for 1:00 pm.
