Hall Pitches Gem; Howard Hits Three-Run HR Helping Softball Earn Game Two Win at Stevens

Weehawken, NJ (April 3, 2021) - Junior Heather Hall pitched a complete-game and freshman Amelia Howard hit a three-run home run helping the DeSales University softball team salvage a split in a MAC Freedom doubleheader at Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon.

Game One (L/0-10)
Stevens scored in each of the first four innings and held the Bulldogs to just one hit, a double from senior Sam Napoli, to take game one, 10-0.

Freshman Safia Bokhari took the loss allowing six earned runs over 3 2/3 innings, striking out two.

Game Two (W/5-2)
Hall earned her third win of the year pitching seven strong allowing eight hits and just two runs, striking out six.  She stranded the bases loaded in the third and two runners on-base in the seventh to preserve the win.

With the game tied at one in the third inning, Howard hit a two-out three-run home run to centerfield to give DSU a 4-1 lead.  Senior Reilly Kerr knocked in the fifth run in the fifth inning.

Sophomore Victoria Agnoli had two hits and two runs scored and Howard finished 2-for-3 with those three RBIs.
