Heather Hall pitched a complete-game and freshman
Amelia Howard hit a three-run home run helping the DeSales University softball team salvage a split in a MAC Freedom doubleheader at Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon.
Game One (L/0-10)
Stevens scored in each of the first four innings and held the Bulldogs to just one hit, a double from senior
Sam Napoli, to take game one, 10-0.
Freshman
Safia Bokhari took the loss allowing six earned runs over 3 2/3 innings, striking out two.
Game Two (W/5-2)
Hall earned her third win of the year pitching seven strong allowing eight hits and just two runs, striking out six. She stranded the bases loaded in the third and two runners on-base in the seventh to preserve the win.
With the game tied at one in the third inning, Howard hit a two-out three-run home run to centerfield to give DSU a 4-1 lead. Senior
Reilly Kerr knocked in the fifth run in the fifth inning.
Sophomore
Victoria Agnoli had two hits and two runs scored and Howard finished 2-for-3 with those three RBIs.
