Center Valley, PA (September 1, 2021) - For the first time in almost two years the DeSales University volleyball team returned to the court earning a 3-1 (19-25, 25-12, 25-13, 25-19) win over local rival Moravian University in the 2021 season opener on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.

- This was DeSales' first match since the MAC Freedom playoffs at the end of the 2019 season.

How it Happened
- DeSales struggled in its first set since 2019, committing 16 total errors allowing Moravian to take a 1-0 lead by a 25-19 score.
- DSU rebounded over the final three sets, hitting .385 and .226 as a team in the second and third sets to take a 2-1 lead and finished off the win with a 25-19 fourth set victory.

- Renee Mapa led the Greyhounds with seven kills and hit .545 and added three blocks.
- Gabby Mancini added 11 digs and three aces in the loss.
