Stevenson, MD (September 11, 2021) - The DeSales University volleyball team battled back from down two sets to one in third match of the weekend and the second match of the day to earn a split of two matches on day two of the Stevenson University Quad Saturday afternoon.
Match #1 (L/1-3 vs. Stevenson University)
The first three sets were all very tight with SU taking the first set, 26-24, and the second set, 25-21. DSU took the third, 25-22, before the Mustangs earned the win with a 25-18 win in the fourth set.

Austen Brewer led the attack with 13 kills and hit .278. SophomoreÂ
Shannon McDevitt had 11 kills and hit .346.
JuniorÂ
McKenzie Brady led the defense with 22 digs and seniorÂ
Audrey Wolfe finished with 34 assists and 16 digs. First-YearÂ
Mykenah Calder finished with five kills, 18 digs, and three aces.
Match #2 (W/3-2 vs. Dickinson College)
The Bulldogs fell behind early dropping sets two and three after a 25-21 win the first set. DSU battled to a 25-18 win in the fourth set and controlled the fifth set with a 15-10 win to get the come from behind win.
McDevitt led DeSales with 16 kills, hitting .382, and adding three blocks. JuniorÂ
Delanie Zohler had 14 kills, juniorÂ
Caroline Garretson finished with 11 kills, hitting .269, and juniorÂ
Austen Brewer added 10 kills.
SophomoreÂ
Grace Grandinetti finished with 48 assists and 13 digs, while Brady recorded the fourth most digs in a 5-set match in team history with 43. Calded added six kills and 25 digs in the win.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to FDU-Florham for a MAC Freedom match beginning at 7:00 pm.
